Carmen Freudenthal (photographer) and Elle Verhagen (stylist) have been working as a photographer / creative team since 1989. Their collaboration with fashion designers, performers and other artists, results in a wide variety of work which presents itself with very recognizable qualities. Their technique brings us a typically humoristic approach to daily life and an undeniably distinctive style by using and abusing contemporary imagery and (photo)graphic artistry.
From the pages of Dazed & Confused, i-D and Flash Art, but most of all from the artists’ own imagination a new proposal is about to be made. A proposal for fearless people: a strong and personal style , something hard to tell and that effortlessly transcends the conventional established world of fashion photography. Dopolavoro Golab is proud to present the artistic explosion FREUDENTHAL / VERHAGEN S/S 1989-2009. It will be a joyful celebration of freed imagination.
