On the 6th May 2009 Dopolavoro presents: Link 7 / Mash-up Television: La tv del remix, del riciclo, del riuso - which means the tv of remix, recycling and reuse “..archive retrievement, creation of new meanings and nostalgia for the television of the past”. Link is a magazine which proposes themes, ideas, models to follow (or acutely avoid), by hinting as to what’s going to be found in each issue through it’s cover story. Analysing and suggesting the world that lies behind television, Link provides us with a very fascinating point of view of the box with the greatest hypnotic power of contemporary history. Carmen Freudenthal (photographer) and Elle Verhagen (stylist) have been working as a photographer / creative team since 1989. Their collaboration with fashion designers, performers and other artists, results in a wide variety of work which presents itself with very recognizable qualities. Their technique brings us a typically humoristic approach to daily life and an undeniably distinctive style by using and abusing contemporary imagery and (photo)graphic artistry.
