Babydisco press review on L’Officiel Hommes Italia: ” An only-for-kids project in Milan’s Dopolavoro gallery. The installation was conceived with the aim to stimulate the child towards new multisensorial experiences, based upon the interaction with sound, colours and lights to be lived as an extension of his innate desire to play. A multicoloured disco ball, djs dressed up as rabbits, shiny stars and games flavoured by music, all had an essential role in entertaining the little ones, who happily free from parents and babysitters, had the chance to enjoy the exhilerating experience of a baby version of clubbing. An invitation and a stimulus to take advantage of the educational potential of music united with artistic creativity”. Susanna Cucco

Sparklehorse + Fennesz
Thursday, December 31st, 2009
We were lucky to have numerous neverending summers, non modulated sounds knitting melodies upon which to float weightlessly. Fennesz is back, accompanied by Mark Linkous’ Mr.Sparklehorse; the result is the 15th volume of the series “In The Fishtank”, wrapped up in 48 hrs and produced out of pure double genious. You can choose amongst acoustic guitars, cellos, treated music and electronic signals which exquisitely reconstruct melancholic soundscapes. Mark Linkous’ trademark rhythm-lullabies will also prove to be something originating far away. Maybe, finally, someone has concocted a new style of airport music.

Arkitip No. 0049 – Peter Saville
Tuesday, April 14th, 2009
Famous for his distinctive graphic surfaces on the covers of Factory Records’ records for bands such as Joy Division and New Order, Mr Saville knows better than to interrupt his own creative flow by abiding to pre-formed artistic parameters or rules. According to him “our cultural history could inform our commercial or everyday reality” meaning visual cultural references are the way in which one can maintain awareness with one’s surroundings. Arkitip No. 0049 will contain both Peter’s work as well as a set of essays from past colleagues just to testify he really might be one of our generation’s most upfront designers.

This is just ‘oh-so-perfect’ to make your desk mate mad or to multiply the apocalyptic doubt sailing amongst your colleagues’ brain connections: “Is this me or is it just crap leaking out into the air?”. A magnificent record which traces a stunning return to Kranky. A truly personal quality which opens up to an intimate circle of magistral atmospheres described as “tectonic color plates” and “cathedral electronic music” . This doesn’t prevent the sound from being light and easily adaptable to less sophisticated pop ears (unless it’s the abovesaid colleagues of course).
