Knitting can be a relaxing activity to dwell in after work, but there are some people that have transformed this leisure past time into an unexpected job. An example is Nina Braun, the german artist and designer, formal owner of a skateboarding company, who started knitting around a lot of cool stuff such as textile pictures, toys and sneakers. Visible from Michael Kraft’s pictures the Puschen* For The Cosy Generation series. *’Puschen’ – is a german word for slippers.
On the 6th May 2009 Dopolavoro presents: Link 7 / Mash-up Television: La tv del remix, del riciclo, del riuso - which means the tv of remix, recycling and reuse “..archive retrievement, creation of new meanings and nostalgia for the television of the past”. Link is a magazine which proposes themes, ideas, models to follow (or acutely avoid), by hinting as to what’s going to be found in each issue through it’s cover story. HMF (Hand Made Font) is an Estonian based design company established in 2008 by Vladimir Vloginov and Maksim Loginov.
These two guys specialize in developing unique and unconventional fonts, also on commission. Inspired by everything that surrounds them, they belive that “good ideas can be applied to anything”, and it’s exactly what we think too.
