Drinking & Drawing #7
Friday, October 30th, 2009Drinking and Drawing High Quality from fredseibert on Vimeo.
Animators + Animations = Drawing Jam Session, that’s what this is all about. A group of 10 animators is called up to the drawing area. Each animator receives 8 blank note cards, as well as the last card from the animator that drew before them. They have exactly 10 minutes (that’s 75 seconds a card) to continue the animation on each card. At the end of the night you have a short film created by dozens of animators! Above: the Bikini Zombies Drinking & Drawing episode produced by Frederator Studios.

Animal House
Friday, September 4th, 2009

What’s a sweet way of competing with a 6 yr old? Drawing of course! The problem is when you realise he’s better than you at sketching the animal kingdom. Try checking out this link on flickr ; you may find it quite amusing to see what happens when a simple gemoetrical shape actually transforms into a living thing!
Post-It® Up!

The slogan on the 3M site says “So express yourself in color”. The TO DO project by the NY based public art collaborative Illegal Art, literally followed that claim by producing a series of creative public art expositions using post-its all the way.
Sneak Like A Panther – Puschen* For The Cosy Generation
Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Knitting can be a relaxing activity to dwell in after work, but there are some people that have transformed this leisure past time into an unexpected job. An example is Nina Braun, the german artist and designer, formal owner of a skateboarding company, who started knitting around a lot of cool stuff such as textile pictures, toys and sneakers. Visible from Michael Kraft’s pictures the Puschen* For The Cosy Generation series. *’Puschen’ – is a german word for slippers.
Julian Wolkenstein & his funny horses
Thursday, May 21st, 2009

London-based Julian Wolkenstein has worked on tons of serious ads, but when it comes to his personal work his reason is it ‘tickles his own fancy’. He just found it hilarious to think of horses with big hair. In an interview by Zack Seckler on F Stop Magazine he says “It’s just nice to do something that has no reason. There was never any intention to set the world aflame with the project. It was just purely because it made me smile, made me laugh. People wanted to put in a strip line on the bottom of a neutral work and say it was theirs”. A mixture of work-come-pleasure just for the fun of it. We approve 100%.
MASH-UP YOUR SENSE
Monday, May 4th, 2009
On the 6th May 2009 Dopolavoro presents: Link 7 / Mash-up Television: La tv del remix, del riciclo, del riuso - which means the tv of remix, recycling and reuse “..archive retrievement, creation of new meanings and nostalgia for the television of the past”. Link is a magazine which proposes themes, ideas, models to follow (or acutely avoid), by hinting as to what’s going to be found in each issue through it’s cover story. Analysing and suggesting the world that lies behind television, Link provides us with a very fascinating point of view of the box with the greatest hypnotic power of contemporary history. Just show up & enjoy! Check out the site http://www.link.mediaset.it/ and the blog http://linkmagazine.blogspot.com/
